We welcome submissions on all aspects of audiovisuality, including, but not limited to, music and sound for fiction film, documentary, television, music video, video games and interactive media.

Competition for “Open Circuit” Festival:
The School of Music will be organising “Open Circuit”, a Festival of new music, sonic arts, and audio-visual installations across the summer and autumn of 2014, in association with the Liverpool Biennale. The Festival will showcase the work of home and guest artists. Part I will be held during the conference (25-6 June): this will include a competition, the prize-winner having their work displayed in Part II in the Autumn. Works must be an installation piece for a single screen video projection and sound.

Student Bursaries
We are delighted to be able to offer 3 fully funded places to students speaking at the conference or displaying an installation. These studentships include admission to the conference, travel expenses from within the UK, and one night’s accommodation.
In addition, we will provide free conference admission, lunches and refreshments, for another 7 students.
To apply, please submit a CV and a short paragraph explaining the significance of your work, along with your abstract.
Conference Fees (including lunch, refreshments and wine reception on June 25th):
Standard rate: £40 (£25 for one day)
Student rate: £25 (£15 for one day)

How to submit abstracts and installation pieces:
All papers will be 20 minutes long and can be in the form of spoken address or practical demonstration.
We welcome individual abstracts and panel submissions.
