Mixtura’18 is a connecting hub for the discussion of the current implications of media in Latin America and the world, from a political, social and creative perspective. The aim is to attract media scholars, journalists, media producers, designers, curators and artists, whose studies and/or practices reflect on the possibilities and issues of media nowadays.
The conference brings together academia and creative producers to discuss the ways in which they both interact under the topic: “Media and creativity in the post-digital era”. The event also features panel discussions and workshops. We believe you can make an important contribution to the discussion, and faculty could enhance their understanding of how technology-theory-methodology intersect. The event will accept proposals around the following topics:
1. MEDIA, DEMOCRACY AND SOCIAL CHANGE

2. MEDIA, DESIGN, COMMUNICATIONS AND SOCIAL INNOVATION
Creative practices based on communications and information technologies that integrate and make visible diverse groups, raise awareness on social problems, and tackle social issues and propose alternatives solutions.
3. MEDIA AND CULTURAL PROMOTION
