The International Association for the Study of Popular Music has its own journal: IASPM Journal. The journal is a great opportunity for you to publish your work, and it is exclusive for all IASPM members. It is an Open Access (doubly blind) peer reviewed journal, which is registered with Scopus, the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and the European Reference for Humanities and Social Sciences (ERIH Plus).

The journal is published twice a year and invites contributions based on research and analysis in the field of popular music studies at both global and local levels. There are regular open calls for contributions as well as special issues. In 2020, we are looking forward to a special issue on Popular Music, Decolonization and Indigenous Studies (guest editors are Daniel Hernandez and Kirsten Zemke), and for 2021 there will be a special issue titled: Crises at Work: Potentials for Change? With guest editors Michael Ahlers and Jan Herbst.

If you want to submit an article you need to register here.  For suggestions of special issues, please contact the journal’s editor Mary Fogarty-Woehrel here.
